About Gerald James Avila
This is Gerald James Avila's first novel after retiring from farming in the Central Valley of
California. Jerry's acceptance to the Art Center in Los Angeles in 1964 and his dreams of attending, were cut short due to the military draft. He served in Vietnam and was attached to
the 101st Airborne. He has been writing for ten years and was inspired by his high school teacher. He and his wife Arlene live in Turlock, CA. They have two grown children, Jennifer
and Jake. Jerry is currently working on two novels and one is a sequel to Table of Hearts.
